Terms of service
3. TERMS OF SERVICE
Last updated: 10 September 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Luxury Tanners website and your purchase of products from us.
Throughout these Terms, “Luxury Tanners”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of this store.
Our store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform through which we offer our products and services.
By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK consumer law.
1. Business Information
The store is operated by:
LUXURY TANNERS
Trading as: Luxury Tanners Ltd
Email: luxurytanners@gmail.com
2. Using Our Website
You may use our website only for lawful purposes.
You must not misuse the website, attempt to interfere with its security or operation, introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorised access, scrape the website in a way that disrupts its operation, or use it for fraudulent or illegal purposes.
We may restrict access to the website where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance or legal reasons.
3. Product Information
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, prices and other information are accurate.
However, colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on your device or display.
Packaging may occasionally be updated without materially changing the product.
We will not knowingly substitute a materially different product without informing you where required.
Information presented on this website is intended to describe the products offered for sale and should not be treated as medical advice.
Customers are responsible for reading the information, instructions and warnings supplied with a product before use.
Nothing on our website should be interpreted as a claim that a product can diagnose, treat, cure or prevent a medical condition unless such a claim is expressly authorised by applicable law.
4. Prices
Prices are displayed in GBP unless stated otherwise.
The price payable is the price displayed at checkout when your order is submitted.
Applicable delivery charges will be shown before you complete your purchase.
Where VAT applies, prices will be displayed in accordance with applicable requirements.
We may change prices at any time, but a price change will not normally affect an order that has already been accepted.
5. Orders
Submitting an order does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it.
We may refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:
payment cannot be authorised; an item is unavailable; pricing or product information contains an obvious error; fraud is suspected; delivery cannot reasonably be completed; or fulfilling the order would breach applicable law or the requirements of an authorised service provider.
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount due.
6. Payment
Payment must be completed using one of the payment methods offered at checkout.
Payment processing may be provided by Shopify Payments or other third-party payment providers.
We do not require customers to send full payment-card details to us outside the authorised checkout process.
Customers must provide accurate billing information and be authorised to use the selected payment method.
7. Delivery
Delivery is governed by our Shipping & Delivery Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Delivery dates given for non-guaranteed postal services are estimates.
We remain responsible for fulfilling our obligations under applicable consumer law where goods are lost or damaged during delivery.
UK distance-selling rules generally require goods to be delivered within 30 days unless another period has been agreed with the customer.
8. Returns and Refunds
Returns, cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Returns Policy.
Nothing in that policy or these Terms limits your statutory rights.
9. Promotions and Discount Codes
Promotional codes may be subject to additional conditions displayed when the promotion is offered.
Unless otherwise stated, discounts cannot be exchanged for cash.
We may withdraw or correct a promotion where there is an obvious error, misuse or technical problem, provided doing so does not unlawfully interfere with an already concluded consumer contract.
10. Intellectual Property
The website and its original branding, graphics, photographs, logos, text and design are owned by or licensed to Luxury Tanners unless otherwise stated.
You may not reproduce, distribute, sell or commercially exploit our content without permission except where permitted by law.
11. Third-Party Services
Our website may use services provided by Shopify, payment providers, delivery companies, analytics providers or other third parties.
Those services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for independent third-party websites that you choose to visit through external links.
12. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods.
We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or for business losses suffered by a consumer using products primarily for personal purposes.
Any limitation in these Terms applies only to the extent permitted by law.
UK consumer terms cannot lawfully remove responsibility for matters such as faulty or misdescribed goods.
13. Privacy
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms where necessary to reflect legal, operational or service changes.
The Terms applying to an order will normally be those in force when the relevant order was placed.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by SCOTS LAW
If you are a consumer, nothing in this section removes any mandatory rights you have under the law applicable where you live.

Why We Use Your Information and Our Lawful Bases
We use personal information only where we have a lawful basis for doing so.
Processing and fulfilling orders: We use your contact, order and delivery information to accept payment, fulfil purchases, arrange delivery, process returns and communicate about your order. Our lawful basis is normally that processing is necessary to perform our contract with you.
Customer service: We use information you provide when contacting us so that we can answer questions, resolve problems and manage our relationship with you. Depending on the circumstances, our lawful basis is performance of our contract with you or our legitimate interest in providing customer support.
Fraud prevention and security: We may process information to identify suspicious activity, protect our store and customers and prevent misuse. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in protecting our business and customers and, where applicable, compliance with legal obligations.

Marketing: Where you choose to receive marketing communications, we may use your contact details to send relevant marketing. We rely on consent where required by law. Where another lawful basis is permitted for a particular communication, we will provide an appropriate opt-out.

Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the store, remember preferences, understand website usage, protect against fraud and, where enabled, support analytics or advertising.
Some cookies are necessary for the website to function.
Where UK law requires consent for non-essential cookies, those technologies will not be used until the appropriate consent has been obtained.
You can manage available choices through our cookie/privacy settings.
Who We Share Information With
We may share personal information with service providers where reasonably necessary to operate the store.
This may include Shopify, payment processors, delivery companies, IT and hosting providers, customer-service providers, analytics providers, professional advisers and marketing providers where those services are actually used.
We may also disclose information where required by law, regulatory authorities, law enforcement or valid legal proceedings.
We do not sell personal information to third parties in the ordinary meaning of selling customer databases for money.
Shopify
Our store is hosted by Shopify.
Shopify processes information necessary to provide its ecommerce platform and may process information about how customers access and interact with Shopify-powered stores.
Shopify may also provide services involving fraud prevention, analytics, checkout, payments and store functionality.
Shopify maintains its own privacy information describing how it processes consumer data.
International Transfers
Some of our service providers, including Shopify and other technology providers, may process personal information outside the United Kingdom.
Where personal information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure that an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism or safeguard applies where required, such as an adequacy regulation or approved contractual safeguards.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
The period will depend on factors including the nature of the information, whether an order or account remains active, customer-support requirements, fraud prevention, legal limitation periods and our tax, accounting or regulatory obligations.
When information is no longer required, it will be deleted, anonymised or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable law.
The ICO allows privacy notices to describe the criteria used to determine retention periods where a precise period cannot reasonably be stated.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.
However, no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Please do not send passwords, complete payment-card information or other highly sensitive information to us through ordinary email.
Your Rights
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, UK data-protection legislation may give you rights including access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to certain processing, data portability, and withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.
These rights are not absolute and may be subject to legal exceptions.
To exercise a privacy right, contact luxurytanners@gmail.com.
We may need to verify your identity before processing a request.
Right to Object
Where we process your information on the basis of legitimate interests, you may have the right to object to that processing.
You also have the right to object at any time to personal information being used for direct marketing.
The ICO specifically requires the right to object to be brought clearly to people's attention.
Children
Our website is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children where doing so would be contrary to applicable law.
If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact us so that we can investigate and, where appropriate, delete it.
Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to websites operated by third parties.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third-party websites. You should review their privacy information before providing personal information.

If you are concerned about how we use your personal information, please contact us first at luxurytanners@gmail.com so that we can try to resolve the issue.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data-protection regulator.
Information about making a complaint is available from the ICO.
